CAC Parking Warning: The Carter Athletic Center has received several warnings from the Roanoke County Fire and Rescue about illegal parking in fire lanes. If illegal parking in the fire lanes persists, the CAC could be heavily fined in an emergency situation.  Parking in fire lanes—which are clearly marked by yellow curbs—will be enforced by towing at the owners expense. Thank you for your assistance.

ATTENTION MEMBERS:  We know the closure of the CAC and suspended operation since mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic has been stressful for many of you. 
If you would like assistance in your paid membership options at this time, please email the business office OR if you would like assistance in retrieving personal items from your locker, please email the athletic dept to make an appointment.  Please call 540-989-6641 anytime to reach the school's main receptionist to also help point you in the right direction. Our hearts are with you.
The Carter Athletic Center is a private 63,000-square-foot fitness facility on the campus of North Cross School.  Besides housing the school's athletic department offices, the facility has a robust rental program and is home to the CCA Marlins, U Can Dance, LLC and Schaefer Sports to name a few currently utilizing the facility for their year-round programs.  The center has:
  • Cybex strength training equipment 
  • Free-weight room 
  • two cardio areas with treadmills, bikes, elliptical machines, etc.
  • 1/9 mile indoor track
  • 6-lane, 25-yard, heated indoor pool 
  • 3 full-size basketball/ volleyball courts
  • Dance studio
  • Cycle studio
  • 2 racquetball courts
  • ​1 squash court
